Work with ACC

FoodSavvy is a group of NZ Registered Dietitians specialising in a wide range of health conditions. We have experience working with ACC through direct ACC referrals and via ACC providers. This includes Pain Management, Social Rehabilitation Needs Assessment, Training for Independence and Sensitive Claims.

Our dietitians will set specific objective goals and appropriately report to ACC/providers.

Pain and Discomfort Management

We are listed as part of their pain management team for the national ACC-funded Pain Service for people suffering injury-related persistent pain. Nausea management for people on lots of medications

Sports Rehabilitation

Sports nutrition for optimal performance. Injuries often occur when athletes are inadequately fueled. Providing advice of adequate nutrition and hydration during training may reduce frequency of injuries. Also, times of injury reduce athlete’s energy output and can result in unintentional weight gain. Strategies to manage this may be of benefit to future sports performance.
