  • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
IBS is a condition characterised by bloating, abdonminal pain, wind, distention, changes in bowel habits, or a combination of these. There are many different strategies, dietary, medical and lifestyle, which may give relief. Each person is individual, so working out which strategies work for you is important.
  • Coeliac disease
Being diagnosed with Coeliac disease means a life long commitment to a gluten free diet. This can be overwhelming and education from a registered dietitian enables you to be not only confident about your food choices, but know you are getting all the nutrition you need.

Understand obvious as well as hidden sources of gluten. Learn about label reading, eating out & managing travelling.
  • Inflammatory bowel disease
IBD (including Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis), is an autoimmune condition causing the digestive tract to become inflamed. This is not caused by food, however there are a number of dietary changes which may be effective in managing the symptoms. These include diarrhoea, gas, bloating and abdominal pain. Speak to one of our dietitians to learn more.
  • Food allergies
The symptoms of food allergies can range from mild irritation to life threatening.
If you have been diagnosed with a food allergy, it is very important to understand not only how to avoid this in obvious and hidden sources, but also which foods and nutrients need to be replaced.
This enables a continued enjoyment of food.
  • Food intolerance (including food chemical sensitivity)
Unlike allergies these unfortunately can not be tested for (with exception of breath testing for lactose, polyols and fructose). Therefore we lead our clients through tailored elimination diets with subsequent challenges (if successful) to pinpoint your key triggers. People can be intolerant to a wide range to foods including:
    • wheat
    • gluten
    • dairy
    • soy
    • FODMAPs
    • food chemicals (natural and artificial)
We also work with those who have managed to identify the foods which lead to symptoms, but as a result have an unbalanced diet. We provide practical advice to enjoy food again with enough nutrition.
  • Weight Concerns
Our clients come to us looking for practical solutions to feeling their best. Learn to work with your lifestyle to make positive changes that feel right for you. Contact Us today to book an appointment
